• What languages can be used ?

• Why are version labeled with large numbers ? Why are releases so frequent ?

Fencing Fox is using new software release technologies known as Continuous Integration. This adds agility to the software to incorporate changes fast, and to reduce delivery risk on new features.

• What are the supported operating systems ?

The Fencing Fox software runs natively on Windows, Mac and Linux.

• Is is possible to download new versions ?

The license is available for one year, and if you download the latest version executable in the same directory, the new version will run.

• Is is possible to change computer ?

It is possible to unhook the license and register again on another computer, may be with a different operating system.

• Does the software support team management ?

Yes, even italian relay, repechage, derived competitions, barrage, etc.

• Does the software support connected scoring machines ?

Yes, the software has been used in international competitions with the WSG31 and the FA07 machines. It has been tested with FMA21 machines. The results are fed through the Ethernet network through RJ45 sockets.

• Is it possible to work on several competitions on the same computer ?

Yes, the software provides a menu to switch competitions at any time.

• Does the software support international files ?

Yes, the software supports the latest version of FFE (Fédération Française d'Escrime) and FIE (Fédération Internationale d'Escrime) exchange files.

• Does the software allows display in real time on large screens ?

Yes, by downloading the diaporama companion, it is possible to display the results from a remote computer in the network on a big screen, or to a secondary screen on the same computer.

• Is the software certified by FIE ?

The software has been certified by the FIE in June 2018, please check the FIE web site.

• Am I safe to run a competition ?

Of course, managing a competition is always a lot of stress, and the workflow helps to go through all necessary steps and backtrack on configuration mistake. Besides, the software provides automatic backup of all competitions every 5 minutes to allow seamless recovery in case of failure (which should not happen !).

The server version provides more robustness as well as collaborative work on the same data.
